Hi, friends

can anyone help me answer this question?

My freind is on EB1A (Filed April, 2002) and is doing medical research, but he will switch to do a clinical residnecy starting July, he was terribly worried that if they will pick us his case after the job switch, and may think he is not working in the same area (though he will eventually be doing related medical research) as the I 140 is based, and may cause trouble to his case approval, has anyone been through this? please share your opinion, many thanks!!
 
I am no expert, but per my lawyer when u r in AOS or EAD 2 things are strict no no.

1. Starting your business

2. Doing fellowship

atleast that's what my lawyer told, please consult lawyer regarding this

Applied I485 in 2002, going to switch from medical researcher to clinical resident in July this year too, and don't know what to do?

Maybe you guys need to refer to the U.S. Department of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT) to check to see if your old and new job fall in the same category, if they do I don't think it should be a problem.
