Please advise or may I say Console

I have applied for I140 in August - EB2 category. The online message says that application was received on 14 August and it will take 90 to 180 days.

With the way things are progressing, it seems that only concurrent application are getting reviewed.

As you can tell.... I for one am not the smartest dude.....as I had opted to do consular processing.

Is there anyone who can share his/her experience if in similar boat? Or someone who had opted consular and then changed to concurrent and what is the process? Or is there any other way to expedite the process...

Any sort of help is sincerely appreciated.....

Consular processing

Bombay2003,

Someone started a discussion thread for consular processing a while back. See if you can dig it up, or I will look too - you can reply there. There were a couple of discussions going on re: CP, and one of the conclusions was that AOS is not faster than CP, it just appears that way - I140 is processed at a pace regardless of whether you opted for concurrent processing or not.

So I am sticking with CP, hopefully I won't regret it... :)

In the long run this could be the right way to go...but it is really frustrating as of now. Besides that its great to know that I am not the only one.

Thanks for your input....

CP to AOS

Actually, filed 140 with CP option..... Then, when the concurrent rule came into effect, filed 485.. My I-140 is pending for over 8 months.
But, have EAD and AP in hand. I am a consultant working at a client site and position is not secure for the past few months. I feel i will be in a better shape, once 140 is approved. Can use AC-21 , when my primary employer kicks me out...

CP to AOS

Snowbell

It sounds as if you are living my life.

Consultant...at client site....on the verge of getting kicked...

But I am afraid that moving to AOS is not the right thing for me as of now. I have already waited for 6++ months. And as you just mentioned, you have been waiting for your I140 approval for over 8 months. This just reinforces my belief that AOS or CP does not really get any preference over other by INS.

Any way keep us all posted...

What doesnt kill you ...makes you stronger!!!
