Please advise on concurrent filing - want to change job ASAP.

Guys,

I got my labour approved through NH .I am really confused after that ogata memo whether to go for concurrent filing or not. I want to change jobs using my EAD as the job oppurtunities using EAD are huge compared to H1 jobs and my salary is pathetic as per NJ standards.

I am planning to get married in Oct too. So, please advice on the best approach to apply whether to go for
1)Concurrent filing ,
2)Apply I140 and wait a month or two and go for 485 etc.

i would suggest concurrent filing. Also if I am correct, the EAD and AP are applied for along with the 485, so if you file only 140, then you have to wait for some more time as you will not get the EAD immediately ( estimated 45-60 days).

Applying with a two month gap depends completely on luck. If the 140 gets approved in 2 months ( most likely not going to happen) then you can apply for the 485 after that, but just applying for the 140 and then waiting for 2 months is not such a hot idea ( in my opinion).
