1) Do I need to show any other document than AP at the Port of Embarkation ? Is AP sufficient ?
2) Is AP sufficient at Port of Entry ?
3) I received 2 originals of AP. Do I need to carry both ?
4) What is the procedure at the port of entry ? I see few cases on this forum where the document was not stamped correctly etc. What things do I need to check for when I receive AP & I-94 in hand at the POE ?

Please advise. TIA.

AP is sufficient at port of embarkation. If airline insists, give them a xerox copy.

Helps to have I-485 original and EAD at port of entry... just don't part with either!

You can carry both your APs...this is a legacy from old times when I-485s used to get adjudicated with normal speeds, and travel during that period was rarer...(also the world is smaller these days, some people travel frequently on business). Airlines used to ask for and keep one of your APs. I'm told they no longer insist on originals. Multiple travel, if mentioned in the AP application, used to get you up to 4 originals those days!

Officer at POE stamps your AP with the legend 'Paroled until...MMDDYY'. In practice the date means nothing. You will continue to be in status during your I-485 adjudication stage. Just don't mistake a date which is beyond the validity period of your AP as permission to travel beyond AP expiration date. You may have problems coming back in, and your I-485 may be considered abandoned, if you do.

Are there any circumstances under which a person entering with a valid AP may be refused entry at the point of entry?

Yes.

Having been out of status in the US previously is one.
Another is having a criminal conviction for a crime/crimes that would make one 'excludable' from obtaining a green card.

AP is enough but carry your Original 485 receipt and EAD if you have one, along with an employment eval letter.

2) Is AP sufficient at Port of Entry ?
refer 1. above

Lawyers suggest carrying the entire AP packet that you receive. Doesn't do any harm, usually the immigration officer takes one and hands the other stamped back to you.

4) What is the procedure at the port of entry ? I see few cases on this forum where the document was not stamped correctly etc. What things do I need to check for when I receive AP & I-94 in hand at the POE ?
Go to the initial immigration line (the one for non-residents and tourists), with AP in hand, they will direct you to the secondary inspection room. Put your passport, AP and Employment eval in the tray and wait your turn. After which the immigration officer will stamp and hand you your AP back. Just make sure the stamped date on your AP is valid atleast for a few days. And you get one copy BACK.

Please advise. TIA.

If you plan to travel, it would also be advisable to carry a number of copies of AP and 485 receipt with you. In case the airline or the immigration officer at the port of departure want a copy, you can just hand it to them.

"Just make sure the stamped date on your AP is valid atleast for a few days. "

what is the stamped date for? why they stamped a date on AP? and why it should be valid at least for a few days?
