Please advice

I have applied Canadian Immigration from US through an agency. They told me that they have filed to Canadian Consultate on March, 2002 but I have not yet received the receipt. Is there any way I can know when I can receive the receipt so that I can start checking the status online. Any input is higly appreciated.

            Just don\'t worry to much for now.I receive my receipt in may of 2002.I sent my application i(January 2002).Right now is taking around 16 weeks from the the day you sent the application.If you don\'t get any word after 20 weeks then you should send then(Canadian Consulate) a nice letter via fax asking for status of you application.This information is if you are doing the Independent
immigration process.After you receive your file number you probable have to wait another 30 weeks for a answer.
