Earlier this year I filed my tax returns as married, when my lawyer was filing my 485 he asked me for my marriage license, We conducted a marriage in temple and according to US laws it is not concidered as marriage (my wife is US citizen). Then the lawyer said to file my 485 as single as I dont have marriage certificate.
Now I am concered as to what I should do as with IRS i am stated married and with INS single. Please advice.
