Please Advice regarding EAD. Gurus Help!!!!!

I had applied for my EAD to VSC and RD is Nov 2003. I got an interim on Feb 18 from Charlotte NC, which expires on Oct 17. In June, they issued an RFE for clear photocopies and I94 pages. I replied and VSC received on June 29, 2004.
Now, I am in the process of applying for another EAD, so that i would be in the 90 day mark when my interim EAD expires.

I have the following questions.

1) Would this be a renewal as I got a interim or a new application as my main application is still pending?
2) If it is a renewal, what should i put, for question 11, Have you ever applied for EAD before.
Which Office: ????? Dates: ?????
Should i put VSC, Received Nov 3, 2003
OR
Charlotte, Feb 18, 2004 [Where I received my interim].

Anybody has previous expereince? I would greatly appreciate your input. For me, each step of I485 seems to be a fight [a whole big process in itself]
 
I would say you should apply for new EAD now. There is nothing wrong in it. I guess that VSC has abandoned your EAD application because you got interim EAD for 8 or 9 months. So just consider the current interim EAD as a regular EAD expiring in October and apply for a new EAD.
In the application, fill out the previous EAD application details as follows :
Place applied : VSC on Nov'03
Result : not issued
Reason : I got interim EAD from Charlotte, NC office on xx/xx/2004.

Actually you should have called VSC and asked them what was the status of your EAD application. Then you can fill out the form appropriately. Anyway, i would suggest you to fill out what ever information you feel is correct and post the application. I don't think that it will be an issue because they themselves don't know much about your previous EAD :D

They issued an RFE for my EAD. My reply was received by them on June 29, 2004.
 
Since CIS can't be trusted for a reasonable action, i advise you to apply for new EAD / EAD renewal assuming that your EAD is expiring in October. Just forget about the pending EAD. When you send the new application form, please add a note / letter explaining the actions for applying for another EAD while the previous one is pending. In the application, write the following stuff for previous EAD info :

Place applied : VSC on Nov'03
Result : (leave it blank / don't select any option)
Reason : Main application still pending at VSC. I got interim EAD from Charlotte, NC office on xx/xx/2004 and it is valid till Oct'2004.
