please advice reg transit visa

My mom is coming to US on visitor visa(on july).She purchased the tickets of Air India.her travel is from bombay- london,london-JFK.My question is does she need transit visa.anybody please reply...

I think the best option for you is to check the website http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/servlet/F...t/Xcelerate/ShowPage&c=Page&cid=1006977149962
It will ask you some questions and tell you if it is required to get a transit visa or not!
