Please Advice on Marriage for Consular Processing

Hi,

I have my 140 approved in first week of October. I am waiting on packet 3 from NVC. Currently my marital status is single.

Is it necessary to add a spouse name in packet 3 if I want my spouse to have GC along with me.

Is it ok if I can get married like just before the interview and then attend the CP interview.

What is the best solution? Any help would be appreciated. Does any one have any experience like this?

it is possible to add ur spouse at interview time

You can get married before the interview and submit the DS230 part 1 for your wife along with the marriage certificate during ur interview.

I know atleast couple of cases that were successful. But there were lot of changes in CP process, NVC procedures and all that. So, I am not sure if submitting the packet 3 for wife in the consulate is still valid!

I believe you can do so. I did confirm with my lawyer. At least his information give me positive answer. I have same situation as yours. I am thinking to get married before interview. Can you verify with your lawyer again to make sure it works or not.

how about Taiwan Consular processing (AIT)? Have you heard it is valid to provide marriage certificate before interview after PK3 submitted?
