I have an arrest record that was 8 yrs ago, this arrest record was prior to my Green card.

I did mention arrest info, on my green card app. did receive it without a problem.

Question: will there be any problem with my old arrest record for citizenship.

I am not in a position to hire an attorney, going thru lot of financial problems.

this arrest record ended us dismissing the case with no conviction at all, has all case disposed court certified papers.

And also my case is sealed, do i need to reopen it to get another new current dated court certified copy or the one will work.

Thank you all for the information.

Should not be a problem if your GC was granted properly.

Your GC was granted indicating it was not an inadmissible offense.
If it was not deportable offense, then you should not have problem (you will not be deported because it is not deportable. You should get your citizenship because it is outside 5 year statutory period).

If the offense is deportable but admissible, then you should not be deportable anymore after you get your GC based upon matter of rainford (http://www.usdoj.gov/eoir/vll/intdec/vol20/3191.pdf)

Matter of Rainford says :"...if granted to adjustment of status to lawful permanent resident, the respondent will no longer be deportable on basis of this prior conviction".

It does not make sense for USCIS to grant your a GC in order to revoke it later. If they want to revoke it later, then they should have declined yoru GC at the start

You'll be OK anyway, even if the charged offense was deportable, since the case was dismissed and you did not plead guilty. Thus you were never convicted and hence not deportable. You do need to disclose this arrest on the N-400 application and you will need to provide proper documentation regarding the arrest charge having been dismissed.
