Plastic cards

How long it takes to get the plastic cards after getting the stamp?
Any one has any idea about how much is the backlog for issuing the cards?

I\'ve been waiting since June

I got my passport stamped on June 4th and still haven\'t received my card. On Sep 13th, the voice message system changed to saying that they requested my card on the 12th. I\'m not sure how much longer that will take. Sounds close though, unless recent events affect all the INS-related processing.
