Here are our details again.
VSC I-485 ND Jan 2000, No RFE, Approved on April 9, 2001.
Although we went through VSC, we got our passport stamped at Chicago INS on May 3rd(since we moved recently). It was no problem at all. We just had to show them proof of our residence in Illinois.
Today we got our actual green cards (precious plastic !)came in mail. Although the IIO at Chicago INS tlod us it would take about 6 months to a year, luckily it took less than a month. Halelooyah !
I would like to thank al the folks on this newsgroup who are so committed to sharing info and help out others. It has been an amazing experience.
