To those who get their plastic cards please let us know how long did you wait since you stamped your passport. I got mine in 2 month but unfortunately i had to apply for a new one because they did not backdate my card a year back. now i have been waiting 4 months for the card and i did nto receive it yet. Miami you were among the first member of this forum to get your passport stamped. Can you update us?

There's a forum dedicated to tracking PCs. Look under the forum titled "Life After the Green Card."
But I think average waiting time to receive your PC is 4 to 8 months unless there's a major BCIS mess up. My suggestion is that if you havn't received your card in 4 to 5 months call BCIS, write to your Congressman to report the time discrepency in BCIS card ordering. If you're real impatient and can afford legal fee then inquire through a lawyer.
Their pathetic lame excuse for the delay is that they have to print 5000 cards per day. But how comes Department of Transportation which prints out larger volume of plastic cards do it faster? It normally takes no longer than a month to get a drivers license.

I received I-485 approval on August 14, 2003. Went for stamping on August 27, 2003. It was easy and fast. No questions asked. Will update you when plastic GC comes in th email.
