we got pp stamped at buffalo on june 6th, & till now no news about plastic card, AVM has the same msg " This case has been approved on......". Is anyone in the same boat?? should we call somebody or can we find out about the card in any way. please respond
It all depends on Individual INS office where you filled in your i-89 (and also got your passport stamped). After that - form i-89 has to be transmitted to INS service center with your fingerprint and photo. INS service center orders plastic card from a facility in Kentucky. Since there are two transmissions (I am not sure whether it is electronic or manual) involved it might have got stuck somewhere.
Normal time to get your plastic is 1-2 months from stamping date. You can still wait for another 15 days. Looks like this is average waiting time for all others too. Look in this thread.
My passport was stamped on July 11th and I recvd plastic card on July 27th. Check your AVM message. If it says "Card Ordered" you will receive the card within 2 weeks. If not call and talk to IIO. Also make sure they have right mailing address of yours.
