I just received the actual plastic card in the mail today. The back of the card is printed sort of opposite compared to the front of the card. Is this normal?

Hmmmmm. It seems some people need worry-dolls to get rid of all the worry-cells in brain.

Yes, it's normal. In USA many things are like that - back side is up-side-down. For example, all the coins, some credit cards. They are all normal.
