Plastic card not received

Its been 45 days since my PoE and I haven't yet received my plastic card. I got the welcome letter within a week. My wife received her card about 10 days after we entered US.
The letter says contact CIS after 60 days, I wanted to know if anybody else has a similar experience.

Did your wife got SSN ??? or did you go to local office to apply??
I guess during the Interview we filled out a form saying to assign a SSN right??

Hi Alren, Experts

I made a successfull POE at cincinnati on 3rd of March . I just got the admistted stamp on the MRV. There's an wording on the MRV that says upon endorsement this will be emporarily I-1551 valid for one year . On an emergency I had to flew out to UK on company's assignment on 7th March .
Will this delay in getting the plastic card /Welcome Letters ?. Also just the admitted stamp is an endorsement . At POE I and my wife give finger print and signatures on some card ?

I do not belive so. It does not matter what you do after you have entered US for your IV in terms of getting your card.
