Plastic Card for Spouse

My son and I received our green cards at the end of May, immediately upon approval of our 485. My wife's 485 was also approved, however her card has not been ordered and we have received no LUD's since. She is planning to return to Canada next week and still no card. Is there some way she can get a visa stamp in here passport here in San Diego, or at a consulate in Canada, or on her return into the USA.

She phoned the emergency support line a couple weeks ago, and they said it would be sent on 20-Jun-05. However, still no LUD. Any recommendations would be appreciated!!!
 
I have the same problem. I got my plastic card in 15 days after our GC approval, but there was no LUD or change in message. After a week of receiving the card, Two days in a row, I saw LUD and message changes in my application. One for card ordered and the other one for card mailed.

Still waiting for a card for my wife. Luckily, we got an infopass appointment few days back and got the stamping.

Did you try for infopass appointment with your local USCIS office?

I hope you are asking how to get infopass appointment.

If so, here is the URL:

http://infopass.uscis.gov/

Its easy,

1. click on english,
2. click on 'Make your appointment',
3. enter your zip code,
4. select your local office that is defaulted,
5. select the following option "You received an I-797 approval notice from the Service Center or an approval notice from the Washington District Office",
6. It should bring up a form where you fill in details of your spouse, like name, date of birth etc. and click on continue and select your convenient time.
7. If it doesn't bring up that form, then keep doing steps from 3 tp 5 until you hit Step# 6.

Its difficult to get appointments in some places.

If you don't get an appointment, try in odd times too.

Thx Apollo, that worked. We're scheduled for this thursday to get her passport stamped. I remember your postings from before, believe you got approved right around the same time as my family and I.

Good, Remember one more thing, you need to take the print out of Infopass appointment when you go for stamping apart from other documents like I-485 approval notice, EAD/APs, I-94s etc.
