Planning to visit India. PR card returned and USCIS says will take upto 30 days !

Hi Gurus,

I got I485 approval emails around May 18th, and online message says "Card Returned. Post office could not deliver it."

I called customer Service about 10 days back and they said that I shoudl hear in next 30 days.

I am planning to visit India next month. What would be the best alternate for me? I have AP valid till Jan 2007. But I understand from other friends that once GC is approved, and you are in US, you should go out and come in on that GC only.

So what are the alternatives for me ?

If you don't get cards in couple of weeks take infopass appointment & get your passport stamped

I have not received approval letters even. Can I just take copy of email that I got? Will that work ? Anything else I should carry ?
