Planning to change name during application - help

I am planning to change my name during citizenship application. Can someone please tell me is it a big hassel, will it delay the approval process?
I am in San Jose, what other cost involved?

SJ/SF DO does not do name changes anymore.

The only changes they do is dropping the middle name and wife changing her last name to husband's last name. If it is anything other than the above, you have to follow the court name change procedures (~6 weeks + ~$550)
