At the POE the Officer told me that my papers had to be reviewed, so he put my passport and I-94 in a red plastic envelope and told me to go to a certain room. When I got there, I had to hand in the envelope to another officer who was standing at the door. I came in to a room with lots of chairs, a desk and three officers, each one with a computer. One of them called my name and asked me if I speak english. I said yes (if your answer is no, you have to wait for a translator) and the interrogation began: Why was I visiting the US, how long did I stay the last time I was in the US, who pays for my trips and who supports me while I'm in the States, what do I do in my home country, what do I do in the States, how long I was going to stay in the US. I told nothing but the truth and try to give simple and clear answers. After that, he made copies of all my documents and of my return ticket (which was an e-ticket) and asked someone from my air line to go and look for my luggage because he wanted togo through it. I opened it and he searched while he asked me if I had ciggarettes with me and if I carried more than 10.000 dollars. He also asked me to open my back pack and finally, after about 1 hour I was told I was good to go. I was so lucky that my I-94 was stamped for 6 months.
I can't say it's a good experience, I'm 21 years old and I found the situation pretty scary; but the main issue here is that the officer was really polite and respectful.
Good Luck
