I have a b1/b2 visa with multilpe entry valid for 10 years. i've first stayed for 5 months, went back to my home country for 2 months and returned to the US for another 5 months. i'm planning on going to the US for the third time in a couple of weeks and it's been 4 months since i came back to my country. I've always entered through the same port and never been asked anything at all.
Do you think there will be any problems? if so, is there any way to avoid the issues that may come up (for example: waiting for a month or two before i travel)?
Thanks

first of all the reason they have given u a multiple entry visa is for ur convinience to come here whenever u want .....tell them u want to start a business... ;)
in america u dont need to be a immigrant to start a business...

Hi,
In your posting you have mentioned that you were here for sometime in US went to back to your country for 2 months and then came back again . Did you have any issues when you re-entered since the gap between you visits were only 2 months? Are you on visitor visa holding 10 year visa? Please help as I have the same situation.
Thanks

I didn't have any problem entering the second time. I have a B1-B2 visa for 10 years.
Last time, I spent 4 months in my country and came back to US for the third time. That was were I had problems. I'll tell you in another post if you want, but the second time, everything went just fine.
good luck

I am interested to know the problem you had in third time. What are the questions they asked and how you managed and also which POE you entered? My mom came to US last year and she stayed two five months and one month apart between. Now I am willing to bring my mom third time. Please let me know the problems you had.

Thanks.

At the POE the Officer told me that my papers had to be reviewed, so he put my passport and I-94 in a red plastic envelope and told me to go to a certain room. When I got there, I had to hand in the envelope to another officer who was standing at the door. I came in to a room with lots of chairs, a desk and three officers, each one with a computer. One of them called my name and asked me if I speak english. I said yes (if your answer is no, you have to wait for a translator) and the interrogation began: Why was I visiting the US, how long did I stay the last time I was in the US, who pays for my trips and who supports me while I'm in the States, what do I do in my home country, what do I do in the States, how long I was going to stay in the US. I told nothing but the truth and try to give simple and clear answers. After that, he made copies of all my documents and of my return ticket (which was an e-ticket) and asked someone from my air line to go and look for my luggage because he wanted togo through it. I opened it and he searched while he asked me if I had ciggarettes with me and if I carried more than 10.000 dollars. He also asked me to open my back pack and finally, after about 1 hour I was told I was good to go. I was so lucky that my I-94 was stamped for 6 months.
I can't say it's a good experience, I'm 21 years old and I found the situation pretty scary; but the main issue here is that the officer was really polite and respectful.
Good Luck
