Place of birth Spelled wrongly in Passport

Place of birth in my Passport is spelled wrongly (it is not exactly same as in my Birth Certificate, but almost similar). Will this create any issue while processing my 485?

Hope not! I have the same problem. Those damn SOB's changed the spelling of the city after I was born but before I applied for my passport, and not considering INS at the time of applying for my passport, went with the new spelling.

Please update this thread if you find out anything new on this issue. I don't anticipate a big problem, thanks to numerous name changes on record in names of cities/countries.
 
I have

heard from people spelling mistakes can't be cause of denials, but could cuase delays.
