Here is the status updates for last couple of days.

Status as on July 12

Our last written notice in this case was returned as
undeliverable by
the post office on July 12, 2004. To update the
mailing address so this
notice can be re-sent, please call the National
Customer Service Center
at (800) 375-5283.

On July 12, attorney mailed an inquiry to get a copy of RFE to VSC and was
recieved by VSC on July 13

Status as on July 13

On July 13, 2004, we received your response to our
request for evidence or information. It is taking
between 365 and 540 days for us to process this kind
of case. However because preliminary processing was
complete, the remaining processing time will be less
than the maximum stated in this message. You will
receive a written decision on this case.

As per latest status, they are considering
inquiry letter as RFE response.

What to do now. Please suggest

When immigration clerks update status I think they select entries from the predefined messages. Don't try to find too much meaning out of it. I think they just received the request from your lawyer. Hopefully they will re-send the RFE soon. Keep pushing your lawyer to follow-up farther.

Did your lawyer's office move? Why did it return back otherwise?
