Can I get the Passport Stamping with the Courtesy Copy of the 485 approval OR
Do I need to use the original copy ?

No my friend got his pasport stamped with courtesy copy today. It all depends on the person you are dealing with I guess.

Does it also depends on the city/office where the stamping is done?

If someone could share the experience of where stamping is done with only courtesy copy, we may have a better idea. Please post. Thanks.

Can you pl post your PP stamping exper @ Pittsburgh INS. What documents do they ask for besides approval notice and passport ? My 485 has been approved per the msg. I am still waiting for the approval notice. Do they give you a specific date/time to come in for the stamping ?

No.. you can just walk in... I posted my PP stamping experience in an earlier thread... Basically, it was a walk in the park.. total time was under 10 minutes after I walked in (including wait time of all of 5 minutes)!! The documents that you need are:
1. Copies of approval notice (Courtesy Copies are fine)
2. 2 sets of "Immigration style" photographs per applicant
3. EAD (if issued)
4. AP (if issued)
5. Passports.
