Our employer filed our 485 at TSC in August 2000 and we are living in VA state. In the month of May we had applied for renewal of my wife\'s EAD as it is expiring on 24th of this month, already received the notices long back! It will be 90 days since we applied, to this 21st. Is there any way we can walk-in into any local INS office and get the second EAD the same day since it is already over 90 days so that she continue in her employment.

Your suggestions and ideas are highly appreciated!

yes, you can apply at local INS office after 90 days. I believe you need to fill out another application and take your receipt notice for EAD and I-485.

However, you should check with your lawyer regarding the documentation needed.

The local INS office does not have to be in the same service center region? because i applied at TSC and I am located in Vermont service center area. Pl. clarify me? and do i get on the same day if i
walk-in and reapply there?

I am in the same boat, still waiting.

I had filed my I485 in Aug 1 2000 @ TSC. I had recently applied for re-newing my EAD & AP( EAD in May 2001 & AP in Jul 2001) . I only got the receipt # for the EAD not for the AP. Approval are still pending for both. Do you know of any one whose I485 approval has been done for the cases filed in Aug 2000.

Not that i aware of. But I applied for both AP and EAD in May, AP got approved already a month ago. EAD is pending! When is your current EAD is expiring and what are you thinking to do?.Pl throw some suggestion if you have any idea?
