Does NVC update its AVM system after receive DS230 Part I and before reviewing it?

Post service indicates NVC received my form a week ago, but the automatic voice message is still "The NVC is waiting for the return of the Biographic Data from the lawer. It will take 6-8 weeks to review and will let you know the result after it's completed." Should I worry about this?

It usually takes 7-10 days after NVC receives your Packet 3 by mail that they update their AVM. SO I would guess that they should be updating their AVM in your case within the next few days. After that, it can take b/w 2-4 weeks for them to review (after which they will again update AVM). Then in another week or so they will send off to consulate (and that will be the final AVM update).
