Pittsburgh office - Oath Ceramony

Hi,

I had my interview for USC on 13th july (yesterday), the interview was successful, I had a traffic voilation case in 2002 and was arrested but released in about 15 min.. the charges were dropped and case was dismissed. No incident after that. The IO was very nice and I explained the incident and we both laughed at that.

I was given the letter of "congratulations" and the IO told me that Oath ceramony will be scheduled sometime in August and I should receive the letter soon.

I have been reading on this forum and it is really worrisome to read that people have not recieved the Oath letter even after 4 months of passing the interview.

I believe that Pittsburgh regional office schedules the oath once in a month or so. Does anyone have any idea when does that happen ? any information on this will be helpful.

Do you think there will be a problem in my case now ?

Zenushka - unfortunately i dont an answers to your questions but my interview is coming up next week in Pittsburgh. So could you please post more details about your interview experience and any suggestions ?.

The interview was very smooth, no problem at all. It took about 10 min for the interview to be over, the IO reviewed my application form fully as she went through it. I was asked six simple questions, she asked me to write and read one sentence. I showed my original documents for the court case which was dropped and she gave me the letter of "congratulations". She was very friendly, in fact, we joked about different forums where people discuss about their upcoming interviews and nervousness they have before going for the test and she said.. "you should not go on these useless forums" :)

I have not received the Oath Letter yet...

Hi - Thanks for posting your experience. I had my interview last week and waiting for OL now. Did you receive your OL ?
 
It has been over three weeks now, no OL yet.. i am wondering how long does it take !! did you ask the IO about the oath ceremony ?

yes. he said there one on Aug 20th and the other on 25th and based on name changes, i would be getting sloted for one or the other.
