PIO application question - urgent

I am planning to apply for a PIO card for my new born daughter. Question # 17, name and complete address of 2 persons living in India known to the applicant, and the phone number with dialing code.

Does any one have any idea if they truely call to check, the reason I am asking is I am providing my father and father-in-law address and phone numbers, but both of them are here in US. I would appreciate any responses.

I doubt if they call to check, even more so in the case of a new-born child. Even if they do, wouldn't there be someone at those numbers who would be able to verify any information they need?

If they Live in India, but are here on visits, it should still be fine. But as its already said, i doubt they will check anyways.
