I didn’t take my interview.
On Dec. 7, I went LA local INS for interview, but my attorneys came and strongly suggested me NOT take interview that day for some reason.
My attorney rescheduled my interview and we don’t know the date yet.
You might wonder what was the reason for me not take interview that day…..
According to my attorney, main reason for reschedule my interview was there was slight chance for me to detain.
He asked me "Do you have enough money to bail yourself or anyone can come and pay my bail bond?" I said, No. Then he said, "Don\'t take any risk today, we have seen a case went detain this week and another one denied because previously filed as an asylum just like you."
Why? In 1994, I probably filed as an asylum without knowing.
And I have told my attorney many times about this asylum case before proceeding my EB procedure.
At that time, … until my interview day, my attorney thinks that is not problem for my EB case. They said, “as long as I traveled out side US after submission, it will be abandon automatically even I filed as an asylum.”
I was very ignorant and do not know any thing about US immigration law.
Anyway, we have to find out why my case got local interview doing FOIA. Actually, I asked my attorney to do FOIA when my case got transferred local office (March/01), and they refused to do that.
I really regretted that I didn’t search on me using FOIA even my attorney objected.
