Picture problem

Has anybody had experience of greencard, AP or EAD card being delayed due to unqualified pictures?

I went to the local BCIS office and ordered the greencard last week but the officer said the pictures I provided were cut too small. She accepted the pictures eventually but gave me a warning that I'll probably have to re-submit the pictures later during the process.

My pictures are about 1 1/4 inches wide and 1 1/2 tall. They did meet the requirements listed on the Notice Letter: "no longer than 2x2 inches, with the distance from the top of the head to just below the chin about 1 - 1 1/4 inches"... The size and image of my face is perfectly fine. Was the officer just being too picky?

In case the worse scenario happens, how long will my order be delayed? Would it be wise if I send a letter to the local BCIS office now with another sets of pictures with "more background" :( ?

Thanks for your attention on this.
