Physical GC: NSC vs VSC

I'm trying to as as patient as I can with waiting for my Phisical GC which will be coming from NCS. Is it true that VSC mail out physical GCs faster than NSC does? I'm hearing VSC mail out cards in 2-3 months whereas GCs coming from NSC can take up to a year or even longer. Is this ture? Pardon my impatience but my military enlistment requires the physical greencard.

I have been browsing other forum and it seems that many people have been waiting so long for the plastic card ( someone is actually waiting since last August. some one actually started a tracker and it seems that it also depends on your local office in some cases. Good luck
 
I think they should backdate our GCs to more than one year if it takes about 1 year to mail them. I REALLY hate INS aka BCIS for s@rewing us like that.
 
It's been nearly 4mnths after my I-94 stamping and online case status still doesn't say my card has been ordered. Should I contact NSC and inquire about this?
