I and my wife did the I-551 stamping on 3/3/2005 in Dallas, TX (however myI-485 got approved from CSC). I have a LUD change on my I-485 after that (3/11/2005) but there is no message change (its still old like we sent theI-485 approval..).

But in case of my wife I got a e-mail message her card is Ordered and then mailed.

I am surpirsed, how come they didn't order my card yet. Though I am Primary applicant. Is this normal.

Please advise.

Thanks

Yes. Once approval and stamping is done, the concept of primary and dependant no longer apply. In my case I got my card around a week back and my spouse status still says 485 approved (one month after stamping).

The cards are no longer dependant and each will get processed as single entity.

What you did?? Did you or Your Spouse Called to USCIS??

Thanks for the quick response

What you did?? Did you or Your Spouse Called to USCIS??

I think if it more than 30 days after stamping, one can call the customer service.

Please let me know action plan now.

Thanks

Hi,
I had the similar case like yours.
I went to stamp in San Francisco office on Feb 22, 2005. and I didn't get any LUD update about my GC so far. My wife went to stamp on Mar 1, 2005 and she got email saying that her card was ordered. So, i called CSC, and the lady took my A# and told me that they didn't have my finger print on file ( index finger print), so that's the reason why they can't order my GC. She told me to went back to local office again to fill out the I89 form ( white form)again.
I went to San Francisco office this morning, and the officer told me that they can't let me fill out the new form because that will confuse the GC process. All i have to do is wait for another 6 months, if i still didn't get GC at that time, then they will follow up my case.
It's really frustrated about the GC because we are moving in the end of May and I really hope that I can get GC before our moving. But, it looks like there are some trouble in my GC order.
Anyone who has the similar situation like mine? how to overcome this issue? Is there any way that I can ask the officer to let me fill out the form again?
I guess if i didn't fill out the form to get finger print, my case will just sit there forever until my stamp got expired....
Please, any idea or advise will be high appreciate.... Thank you very much.

When we went for stamping, the officer told us its taking anywhere from 4 weeks to 5 and 1/2 month for getting the card and told us to call CIS after 6 month, so I'll wait for six month before calling them.

Also moving is not a problem, unlike other approval notice, the envelope on this DOES NOT say don't forward and I believe filling ar11, calling CIS about address change and telling postal for forwarding address is what you have to do. Not much of a hassle, since you anyway have to do ar11 and postal anyway.

You can call after 30 days of stamping

canada_or_usa

I called the USCIS Y'day. They said, I can call them after 30 days of PP stamping. If no info by that time, they will take the appropraite action. You might want to call them (your chocie thoguh).

Please keep update the forum.

Thanks

USCIS website says that if one has not received the card after 60 days of being allotted immigrant status, then call them. hope this helps
