Would you please some details.... you mean you got email notification and card same day or paper notification and card same day??? If later then CIS following new stratagy????

Paper Approval Notice and GC actual card

I meant the actual paper approval notice and the physical green card came in on the same day.

Basically I got 4 envelops, 2 for me and 2 for my wife.

This looks more like the USPS boo boo to me OR the mails could be coming from different locations and accidentally they ended up in my mail box on the same day.

Thanks

Congratulations on receiving your wife and your GC. We are still waiting for my husband's GC since Oct. 2003. Any suggestions on what you two did to seek information or help would be greatly appreciated. We have contacted Senators, the First Lady, and written numerous letters to our local USCIS office and we have a pending Writ of Mandamus filed (second one).

Thanks,

Have you been approved yet?

Hi,

Have you been approved for your GC?

I know you said you have been waiting and that doesn't tell me anything else?

Whare are your dates?

Thanks

Hi,

My husband's GC has not been approved yet. We are still waiting for his GC. We applied on October 8, 2003 for the I-485 (family based GC). We were interviewed in September 2005. The only thing the USCIS has told us is that it is under an extended security review and none of his other applications are going to come through until this review / security has been completed. He has not been able to work for eight months now due to his I-765 is pending.
We wrote to the Obudsman and to our senators, congressmen, First Lady, directors of the USCIS in DC and our local USCIS office. We even filed a WOM, the first was dismissed and now we are on our second WOM awaiting a judge to be appointed. Nothing has moved. Very frustrating as I am the US Citizen and nothing I seem to be doing is making any difference. The USCIS is like a locked box, once things go in nothing comes out. Well, maybe for those who are lucky.

Thanks for any advise,
rayofsunlight

If your husband has already applied for the 765 and it has been over 3 months, he should be able to go to the local USCIS office and get an interim EAD and continue working.

Our local USCIS office does not issue interm EADs. We have been told that this is not something they do anymore, everything is with the Missouri center USCIS office. We have been told that all applications are in an extended review. Very painful to not be able to do anything to move along in this bureaucratic process. We just want to move on with our life. We have been writing letters after letters to the officer who is reviewing our case to the director of the USCIS and making appointments to the USCIS office. All efforts seem to go in vain but I am still hoping something will move for us.

A lawyer told us to reapply for the I-765, so we did, lets see if that might do something for us.
