When I apply N-400, I should attach 2 photos, regarding to a guru's post, it said "Photos should be as same style and size as we need for a passport, means- a front view of the applicant and not the side view as the pictures with side view are no longer accepted for immigration purpose"...

But according to N-400 form that I downloaded, the sample is a lady with side view.

May I ask 1)what kind of photo is correct? 2)take picture within 1 month... so, should the shop stamp date on the back side of photo?

Thanks!

Passport photos are the required ones for N-400.

Thanks for gurus' help.

May I have one more question...

I worked for IBM(until 02/2006) and traveled overseas 10 times(3 for vacation and 7 for project)... just checked my passport, and found staying outside US for 431 days. the longest one was 153 days --- not over 6 months yet!

I got GC on 9/12/2001, and will send out my N-400 soon.
I have been living in US for more than 30 months in past 5 years, and haven't stayed outside US for more than 6 months...

Can I still send out N-400 now(90 days before getting GC for 5 years), or I should wait longer? Thanks!

If your above calculation is correct, you can send your application now, 90 days before the 5 yrs. anniversary.
