Photos during interview

Are we supposed to sign the photos during the interview?? Is that Full Name signature or the usual signature? Are we supposed to sign the front of the photo or the back?
 
You have to sign your full name (first name and last name) and not your regular initial 'ed signature (the one you use to sign your checks). You will sign it on the side of the photograph and the IO will instruct you as to where you need to sign.
 
You are exactly right about where you would sign. However, IO asked me to sign as I would sign a check ( not sign your full name ).
You should confirm with IO when he/she asks you to sign on the photos.

Which photos does the IO ask you to sign? The 2 photos that you submitted when you sent the N400 form? OR brand new photos?
 
if the applicant has requested a name-change on the N-400 form,
should the signature be in the new or old name? (assuming the
applicant has already been signing/using the the new name for
years, just not leaglly changed it yet)
