Has anyone recently appiled for EAD renewal online? We have to go for photographs to the local center and ours is Newark.

Please share your experience if anyone has gone to the Newark center for the same reason.

Thank you.

Did you go to Newark BCIS for your I-EAD? What's your experience? Thanks

Exp. at Newark local center for EAD photos

We took following papers with us.

Our E-filed printed EAD receipt, copy of E-filing file (the PDF file) and confirmation ref. number of Scheduled appointment.
Original receipt of the E-filed EADs from INS (that was fast)
Original receipt of our I-485
Our passports (though we knew that driving license is fine as an ID).
Original existing EAD and Social Security Card

Actually only first 3 documents are mainly required.

There was not a long queue. Got in at 8.00am. Immigration lady saw our electronic filing receipt and asked us to wait in line that was for FingerPrints. So, I told her 'Our Photographs appointment is scheduled and not the fingerprint", She looked at me and said 'That is same line - they will do the same for you."

In that line again there was one immigration lady - checking for ID and correct papers. She took online receipt and printed copy of E-Filing file (the PDF file) and put the ID (Driving license or Passport) and token number card with it. She did not ask for any other paper. She asked us to wait in ‘Blue Chair’ area and warned that we won’t be called if not in said area.

We were only ones for photographs so called immediately. The officer took my fingerprint of index finger (may be to see whether it matches with the existing one - to reconfirm identity). Then he asked me to sign. I think that should be also matched with the existing one.
He took my photograph and another lady came and checked the data again. She stamped on the receipt papers for confirmation.

That's it. We didn't ask any question to avoid more confusion.

When I called to schedule appointment, I asked lady about ‘mailing supportive documents' because I checked that option while filing. She said I should not send any document and let INS request for them if they require. I wanted to ask same question at Newark center but forgot and now I think….that’s fine. I won’t send any document.

We felt good at the end as something was done successfully on way of GreenCard.
