Photo issue for N-400 application

This will sound very silly and I am sure few readers will have a good laugh about at the situation I am in right now.

I planned to file citizenship application as soon as I gained eiligibility i.e on 07/23/2009. I prepared my application except photos few weeks in advance. Then some unexpected thing happened. Went for a hair cut and due to some misunderstanding, the salon guy used wrong clippers and just removed a patch of hair completely, I mean clean shave. :) With no other option, I had to get the entire hair removed. Now, my hair is back little bit only and I don't want to wait until it grows back to take photos and file my citizenship application. I need to go out of the country few months from now and I want to file my citizenship application immediately. So, my question is, is it ok to take photos with my current appearance without any "RECONGNITION" trouble in future? I know my hair will grow back normal by the time I go for interview. So any advice on what to do? I know that this whole thing sounds silly while other applicants have serious problems with their N-400 applications but things happen unexpectedly sometimes. I don't mind people making fun of it but give me some advice as well. Thanks.

hey -- try some wig if u get it for $10 or cheaper--

otherwise you can always take new picture for the interview and check with the IO officer :)

Spiderman,

I know economy is bad and times are tough and $7 haircut sounds really attractive but you get what you paid for LOL. On a serious note, I highly doubt a haircut would make any difference as far as “Recognition” is concern. Next time, try SUPERCUTS for $16 and feel easy :)

Dont worry. It is ok. I change hair styles/cuts often: from long to short, from straight to permed, different colors.

"Recognition" won't be a problem - the photo is used for your naturalization certificate - you submit others later with your passport application. However an option for you would be:
Have current photo's takes, and submit your application. When you go to your interview, take new photo's then, and ask the IO to swap these into your file. This way, you don't delay your application, yet, you won't get stuck with a photo on your citizenship certificate that will always remind you of "that" haircut.
