I have a photo with light white background , wondering will that work or do I really need color background, any feedback ?

I would like to solicit feedback if anybody has encontered any issue with their photo during OCI processing? Please respond. I want to apply today for my late December Trip.
 
White background is fine as long as u have colored shirt/top on. US consulates accepts the photographs taken for your passport application.

Thank you. I mailed my application today, the instruction says to be processed in 6 weeks but looks like it may take about 2 months. I'm looking forward to late December trip if possible.
 
I mailed mine in on Aug. 25th at New York Consulate, and received stamped Passports with OCI booklet on Oct. 25th. (Exact two months!!) :)

It was off white , not exactly white and shirt was black with stripes. I used the same photograpgh I used in naturalization , only got it tailored to Indian specification using epassportphoto.com.
