Photo for DV 2006

Hi everyone, Just wonder where do you guys get the photo done?

Did any one try to make the digital photo himself/herself? I was not sure how to meet the requirement if I use my personal digital camera. Any tips?

Go to Walgreens/Sears/Kinkos/Eckerds. They usually know the immigration specifications. Don't try to take it yourself, as they are very picky about photos.
 
Digital format

I did not know whether Walgreens or Sears can provide the digital format. On DV 2006 website, I need to upload the picture to validate first. So you think Walgreens or Sears can provide a disk or CD with digital photo?

Tell them why you need a disk. I am sure they can copy the picture and put it on a floppy.
 
Walgreens can NOT do it, i went there and they cannot scan a 50mm photo nor put it on disk.

HEY POTENTIAL DV WINNERS:

Y'ALL CAN DO IT YOURSELF, GET YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA, AND TOOK FEW SNAPS. UPLOAD IT IN YOUR PC OR LAPTOP. ONCE ITS UPLOADED IN THE COMPUTER, GO TO PAINT (START-PROGRAMS-ACCESSORIES-PAINT), OPEN YOUR LOADED IMAGE IN PAINT. SELECT THE X-AXIS AND Y-AXIS, AS IT COMES IN THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDOW. SELECT THE PICTURE FROM MOUSE AND STARTED DRAGGING IT UNTIL YOU MAKE THE REQUIRED RESOLUTION IMAGE. MAKE IT A RESOLUTION OF 320x240. THEN CUT IT, GO TO FILE-NEW, AND PASTE IT THERE. SAVE IT EITHER IN A DESKTOP OR SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE U CAN REMEMBER. THE PIC SHOULD BE IN JPEG FORMAT, SO SAVE IT GIVING JPEG EXTENTION. THEN AFTER OPEN THE PAGE BELOW, AND TRY TO FIT YOUR PIC IN THERE, IF IT TAKES IT, THERE IS NO NEED TO KNOCKING DOOR OF WALGREENS/ECKARD/RITEAID/CVS AND SO ON. YOU ALREADY INVESTED A LOT WHEN YOU HAD YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA, MAKE USE OF IT. HOPE THIS HELPS.

THIS IS WHAT BEING SUGGESTED:
It must have a resolution of 320 by 240 pixels or 240 x 320 pixels, with either 24-bits of color, 8-bits of color or 8-bits of gray.

Labordrags, please help

Hi Labordrags,

I do have a digital camera. I have a question. How do I know whether the photo I made is 24-bits of color, 8-bits of color or 8-bits of gray? Where Can I find out in Paint?

I tested 1 photo and tried to validate on the dv lottary website, it said it is valid. So I guess I do not need to worry if the website took it?
