Philippine Visa

I have a Filipino friend that would like to come to the US to live. What do I do to get her here? What type of paper work does it take? I have no idea where to go. I lived in the Philippines for the past 3 years and would like to bring some of my friends here. Is this possible? Give me any ideas that you have for me to start searching. Janet

Hope this helps.

i presume you want to get ur friends tourists visas (this however will not allow them to work here nor live here for a long period of time). the u.s. consulate in manila is strict.

you have to be able to prove that you have every intent to come back to the philippines when applying for any non-immigrant visa.

there are standard documents that one normally prepares aside from the visa application form which needs to be paid for in any Citibank or Bank of the Philippine Islands (certain branches only).

most of the supporting documents that needs to be prepared should reinforce the idea that the person\'s life in the philippines is pretty stable and that there is not reason for that person to leave their life behind and migrate to the u.s.

there are no standard sets of documents that u need to bring when u go for the visa interview (some consuls dont even ask for any other than your passport and application form and others require a lot depending on whether they are convinced of your motive in going to the u.s.)
