It sucks!

After waited in Vermont for more than 18 months, my 485 case was transferred to Philadelphia for interview. I called the service center, and was told that I need to wait for another 12 months for the appointment. I tried to call the Philadelphia office, but they don¡¯t answer questions regarding to the status. Therefore, I decided to visit the office by person.

At there, I was told by a not-so-patient lady that I need to wait for ¡°a loooong time¡± for the interview. When I asked her how many months I should wait. She said: we don¡¯t know; there is NO time limit. I told her that my case had been waited in Vermont for more than 18 months. She said: we DON¡¯T CARE!

Sorry to hear that... Philly's been one of the slowest office to schedule an interview.. Try to get local elective officials involved (congressmen or senators, e.g. Rep. Fattah or Sen. Santorum). Perhaps, they may help in getting the inverview done sooner.

I don't see why she should be impatient ....

After that much long wait and more wait promised.... you should be impatient .....

Involve the congressman in your case as Stripped [ Coool name dude ] suggested and you may see light @ the end of the tunnel of long wait .....

Good luck.

First of all..
1. File the complaint on that lady (whoever you met in the Philly office)
2. I think you should personally visit Congressman office.
Best of luck..
