Hi! to all . I started this thread b/c I have some question and i dont know where to post it since it might be too long or difficult.I'm hoping that some of you can help me and my family
Let me start by saying I immigrated here in the US 5 yrs. ago from the Philippines.I'm half black / half Asian/half white , my dad is a US citizen born here in US and ex-navy officer ,my Mom is Asian,My parents have been partners on and off since 1975 and they just got married 3 yrs ago (finally) in the Philippines, but we haven't petition her yet b/c we are having problems getting my older brother here, so she decided to stay there "to watch" my brother so he wont get in trouble . My Father petitioned me and my Brother 5 yrs. ago but I'm the only one that got issued a visa b/c my brother turned 21 yrs.old before the INS petition got processed (sp?) , my dad filed the petition on Jan. 1996 but the INS sent the approve petition to Philippines Embassy on April 1996 , by then my Brother was 2 months away from his 21 B-day, I'm the only one that recieve the Visa application but they sent my brother a letter stating that since he reach the age of 21 , he will have to wait for a available Visa number,but it's been 5 yrs now and we're still waiting, we keep looking for ways to get him here sooner and so far we haven't found a solution yet, Recently my dad decided that he wants my Mom to come here w/ or w/o my brother b/c it's hard on him being away from my Mom almost 2 yrs. now ,but we still haven't given up on how to get my brother here, he's 27 yrs old now and unmarried .We want our family to finally be together , it's just frustrating to us that no one's helping us .I hope that some of you will have advice or some knowledge on how we can solve our problem and I also want to know what Forms we need to apply for petition for my mom (married to my dad for about 3 yrs. now) Please any help is welcome !
