Petition For My Wife

Hi! I'm a natural born U.S Citizen born in Florida, I moved to Canada when I was younger (15) and met a girl in High School which I married 5 years ago and in total we've been together 11 years. I applied to citizenship for last year filing the I-130 form the application was aaproved and then we got tranfered to the National Visa Center in NH. Then we had to pay more fees for these other forms (one was a I-864 I believe) and another I cannot recall. I'm not sure how long the whole process is valid for but I recall reading that if we don't respond by a certain time then we will have to start the process over from the begining. It's very frustrating. We wanted to relocate back to the U.S. and the whole reason of starting the process was for that reason and so that my wife would be able to work. How long do these processes usually take and are their dealines to filing? I'm worried because right now financially we are strapped because only I am working right now as she's unable to at the present and trying to find extra money to pay these fees is hard. Just curious what my options might be in this situation. Thanks!

Ok hmm...not given alot of information is not helping here lol.

Is it possible that you can list what forms you have filed?

So let me get this straight, your wife (who is Canadian) has a Visa? (what kind?) you and your Wife lived in Canada for a number of years, decided to move back to the States and sponser your wife. Now you guys are currently in the U.S. correct? I would expect you filed I-485, I-864, I-765 (To have your wife work while papers are going through) and two G-325a's correct?

I understand what your situation is and believe me the world of Immirgation is frustating, heck I feel bad for those on here that has went through a tough time and not receving their GC in many years. I am going to be honest with you, Why didn't you just move back to Florida, then have your wife fly in the U.S. as a Visitor and then file? it would of been alot quicker then going through this stuff your in right now, now there is a deadline for sure and the longer you wait, the longer your process is going to take.

1. Does your income meet the guideline and you will sponsor her?

If you have to obtain a joint sponsor then you can request a "Fee Waiver" when you file.

2. The I-864 does not have a fee to file

Can you be more specific with your situation?

Are you in the US now or in Canada? your wife?
