Petition for I-140 required

There should also be a petition for I-140 processing also.
Right now we are seeing that I-140 processing is taking anywhere from 8-14 months on various service centers.
So if there are any concurrent filing for I-140 and I-1485, that person has to wait for 8-14 months before he/she can change the employer. If I-140 gets cleared within 6 months, then person is free to switch jobs after 6 months.

I agree, can we do something about this? I am a novice in this area, but I am in a similar situation. My company is in pretty bad shape & I can barely hang in till 6 months (March 1). I hope 140 will be approved by then.
 
If 140 is not approved in 6 months, AC21 doesn't mean anything. I hope things will start moving.

I totally agree with 'masti25'

In order to make use of AC21 I140 must be approved.
Now as I140 takes more than 6 months and concurrent filing is also allowed, it doesn't make sense at all to make use of this AC21 rule.

BCIS must process I140 cases in 6 months. Period.

Rajeev, Could you please do the necessary things to give impetus for this I140 processing

Sounds like good idea. There are so may people like us who can contribute to I140 petition. any hep from attorney will be appreciated.

Please check the attached petiton we prepared for I-485. Use that as starting point for I-140 petition. Start a separate thread for Petition and post the link in all I-140 forums, get feedback from lot of I-140 applicants.

Once you have a draft send it to Rajiv for suggestion.
