It has been a year since my ceremony and quite sometime without being here in the forum. As I can see not much change since then and a lot of you are still going through the painful process of becoming US citizens or trying to get your green cards. Hope all can succeed.
My problem now is to petition to my mom and I was reading it all and there is so much information that I'm kind of lost. I have just a couple of questions and if someone can help me I would appreciate.
a) What forms do I need to fill to request the GC to my mom?
b) Where should I file it (I'm in Miami, FL)
c) What is the expected processing time ( I've read that parents are in a different category, is this true?)
d) She lives abroad (Brazil). Will she need to apply in the consulate there also or only get there to get her papers. She is an old lady and have some mobility issues.
e) Any other info you may think would be useful to me.
