Persons Entering Under Advance Parole NOT Subject to Special Registration

By Misty Carroll Friday, January 24, 2003

According to AILA, INS General Counsel Bo Cooper has reconfirmed that any person who last entered the U.S. under advance parole is not subject to special registration. This reiteration comes as a result of questions generated due to some INS offices having made assertions otherwise.

For further clarification or other questions regarding Special Registration, please visit the section of the INS web site devoted to the Special Registration program:

Entered US using AP on 21Jan

I came to San Francisco on 21st Jan using AP. No hassles at the airport!!! - No questions.

I-485 involves secoundary inspection. The INS officer will stamp your passport with " Adjustment of Status" stamp.

That's about it. !!!
