Personal experiences with new H4 visa appointment procedure at Mumbai consulate

Hello Gurus,
I am on the same boat as lot of frustrated friends on this forum with the new H4 visa appointment rules. I went through lot of postings on this and other forums and its still not clear to me if this new procedure works in the following way:-

1. Make an online appointment.
2. Submit all other documents except the Marriage certificate and photos before 30 days of the interview.
3. Go to the appointment at scheduled date and time and show marriage certificate and photos at the interview.

I think it would be great if we can have a separate sticky thread for new H4 appointment experiences at different consulates. I believe it would be very very helpful if people who have been through this can submit their experiences here on the forums.
