Permanent US going to Canada

Hi,
I am a permanent US resident holding a passport from my home Country (Colombia). I visited the immigration canada website and according to it I'm not require to apply for a visa ...BTW I'm going to Canada only for 2 days to attend a work conference.

Should I rely on what's on their website? any advice?

What other "more reliable" source do you need, than the CIC web site?
