Permanent Resident without job

Hi Guys,

It has been a long while I have visited this site. My 485 got approved in January,2004. I have been working as a contractor and just curious to know if my present project gets over and also I get laid off -

Am I entitled for unemployment allowance. If YES for how long?
Any dependent adult in family (wife) is entitled for unemployment allowance?

Please share your experiences.

You are entitled for unemployment insurance, the amount and duration depends on your state's regulations. Only those who were employed for a minimum period of time (and were laid off) are eligible. Those who quit their job are usually NOT eligible.
