Permanent Resident (US) visiting UK

I am an American permanent resident (Citizen of India) wants to visit UK for two weeks.
Do I need a visa? If I require one, how much/long will it take to get it?
And how much money should be there in my bank account?

Any extra information is most welcome!

Yes, you need a visa for a two-week visit. The only time you can use your GC to enter UK without a visa is for transit that does not exceed 24 hours, and it is still up to a border officer judgement. As for other questions, this is not an appropriate forum section.
