Permanent resident status for wife

Hi all,
I'm a legal permanent resident working in US. I got married and my wife is in US with me on F1 visa. I want to apply for her green card since it will take 3 yrs for me to get the citizenship.
My question is if I apply for I-130, how long approximately will it take for my wife to get a green card. Next once I-130 is approved, how long would I have to wait to apply for AOS?
Once her I-130 is approved can she stop maintaining her status? Or does she need to wait till AOS is filed?
Btw we are from India.

Thank you all in advance.

Did you get married before or after becoming a permanent resident?

My question is if I apply for I-130, how long approximately will it take for my wife to get a green card.
You have to look at the visa bulletin. Spouse of permanent resident is in the F2A category which currently has a wait of about 1.5 years.

Next once I-130 is approved, how long would I have to wait to apply for AOS?
When the I-130 is approved doesn't actually matter. In order to apply for AOS, she has to wait until the date for filing AOS passes the priority date (i.e. the date the I-130 was filed and received).

Once her I-130 is approved can she stop maintaining her status? Or does she need to wait till AOS is filed?
No. A pending or approved I-130 doesn't give her any ability to stay in or enter the US. Since she is not in the Immediate Relative category, she must be in status at the time of filing for AOS; otherwise she would not be eligible for AOS, and would need to do Consular Processing in her home country.
